Social Time

Through the years, Blue Church has always been and always will be a place of worship, a place of refuge

and a place for celebrations and fellowship.

The pictures and descriptions below highlight some of those social times this year.

pinocle

The pinochle group starting playing the game eight years ago and continues to gather the second friday of the month from September through May.  It's alot of fun and the snack table is very popular.

Scout Sunday is held once a year. Scouts from our local troops that hold their meetings at Blue Church come and serve in positions of service during the worship service. These Scouts served as greeters and handed out bulletins for the church service.

Bake Sales are often held in conjunction with other socials or events at the church.  They are great fund raisers and everyone enjoys these homemade sweets.

In March or April of each year, Blue Church Art hosts its student art show.  Hundreds of wonderful art works created in the fall and winter sessions are displayed in the hallways and rooms of the church annex.

Hat Sunday is celebrated in the spring. It brings color to the Sunday Service after a long hard winter.  If you don't own a hat, there are always several extra available to share.  Even the men get involved with this festive dress up.

Suppers and Luncheons are held periodicly throughour the year for all kinds of events. Our annual Lenten Soup and Sandwich Night is special. Several local churches take turns sponsoring a soup and sandwich night at their church prior to that evening's Lenten Service.
